Yes, something that was new to me
We had something similar here at Sandown/Shanklin Isle of Wight during the first lockdown when the big ships couldn’t get into the ports of Southampton and Portsmouth and parked themselves in our bay. It took a lot of complaints from the authorities here to get them moved because a) the noise from the generators were keeping people awake! and b) discharging oil was becoming a hazard to marine life on shore and sea.
Not good, but a different scenario
I love watching the big ships. I get to see them when I go to Astoria. They travel down the Columbia River to Portland. 😀 Wonderful photo.
I do like tugboats.
