Yes, London is a strong pull for me too, Sue. Though the openness of Margate or Brighton or Bexhill are competing for attention.
Margate on my list, Brighton Ii would like to return to, and Bexhill? I think I took my old car there years ago, for service…
And I like the moodiness of that first shot
An oldie (taken in the early 1980s on Ilford monochrome film, developed by my good self, seen on here before, glad you like it
I’m not hankering for travel, fortunately. But I am sure that time will come.
Best wishes, Pete.
Hmmm….
I like your first image. The shiny railway has become the strong leading line and you compose it very well into the frame. Turning it into black&white is another smart way here to make it stand out. Great job my friend. Well done!
Glad you like…and I didn’t turn it into B&W, it was taken on Ilford FP 4 in the early 1980s, and I did the D&P
For years I have dreamt about seeing this and that in London and only yesterday, after having seen a film about Darwin, Westminster Abbey was added to the list of lang gone exhibitions and galleries… I have to look up Margate now … 🙂
Oh, goodness….hope we get to travel again someday….
Great post 😁
Thanks!
I also like the first shot. The emptiness is certainly a metaphor for travel right now, isn’t it?
janet
Certainly is
ooh I feel like I am in a dream looking at these
Thanks, Becky!
