Really glad to see Paula back, the blogosphere hasn’t been the same without her…
Of the five unrelated words she has chosen for us, I am going for mountainous, spanning and crumbling. So here goes –
Mountainous – here are two that particularly say mountainous to me:
Tyrol:
Caucasian mountains in Romania
Spanning the generations, waiting in traditional dress for the parade, Maramures, Romania over a decade ago
Crumbling cliff at the Panama Canal
More words at Paula’s here
Terrific shots!
Thank you, Anna!
Carpathian mountains in Romania, and not Caucasian Sue ! I am sorry !
Oh, flippin predictive text! Sorry!
beautiful…….
Thanks, Sudhir!
🙂 🙂 🙂
You managed to include mountainous scenes in all of your interpretations. It is the most therapeutic landscape and environment for me. I appreciate your warm welcome, Sue. I missed you and your wonderful posts.
Glad you liked these, Paula, and thanks for your lovely comment!
Wonderful vistas – and big envy – you’ve sailed the Panama Canal?
Early this year, it was just amazing!
Did you post about it? And if so, how did I miss it?
Ah, I don’t appear to have dedicated a post to it, Tish! Perhaps I will rectify that, perhaps not! Meanwhile, there is one image of a ship going through ‘the Cut’ at the highest point of the Canal, which is where the cliff of my Crumbling image was located : https://suejudd.com/2017/04/26/wanderlust/
Well I’d obviously visited that post. Must have been overly diverted by the sloth. Once saw a fantastic little book with engraved images, published at the time of the building of the Panama Canal – wish I’d bought it.
Life is full of small regrets, never mind the bigger ones….
That’s a very big thought, Sue.
😊😊
A rare Sue in full colour!
I’m intrigued….I actually do more colour than monochrome, Meg – am I missing something? 😊
Do you?? It’s me that is missing something. Like a functioning memory.
😀😀😀 for my Pleasure of Ruins, I mostly do monochrome, otherwise most of my stuff is colour, but perhaps muted at times!
The grandeur of mountains always takes my breath away. Love these images Sue
I completely agree, re the grandeur!
I liked all of these, especially the women in traditional dress.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thank you, Pete…I’m looking forward to seeing what Paula’s next challenge is
The first two look as if Little Red Riding Hood might pop on the scene. Love the traditional dress too.
😀😀
Ahh look at those ladies faces in ‘generations’!
Aren’t they just great, looking on in eager anticipation
