Wanderlust

I have always had Wanderlust…from teenage hiking in North Wales, later Interail travels across Europe, then much more European travel by car and train and a trip to Cuba a decade ago… and most recently I got to see a number of countries, albeit briefly…

As I have already posted quite a few images of my beloved Cuba, here are a few more places from the latest trip.

Going through the Panama Canal (an incredible journey, the scale of the undertaking is awe inspiring):

Going through the Cut

A fun excursion on a Chiva bus in Ecuador (a wander within a wander):

Getting to see wildlife in Costa Rica:

I still haven’t finished editing the images!

  1. Wow, what a trip! I am so looking forward to your forthcoming posts Sue.
    Wanderlust for sure!

  2. Cool blog! Looking forward to your daily post, keep up the great work.

  3. You in a yellow jacket on top of the bus? Or at least the ghost of your more youthful self? This makes a cruise look inviting – a taste of so many places so easily. The Panama shot I especially like. Did you organise the boat to be just there? I wouldn’t put it past you!

The yellowy green jacketed ones are the musicians on top of one of the Chivas….we were all downstairs……but the ghost of my youthful self fits, Meg! I was always scrambling onto things, clambering around ruins, rocks, you name it!
The Panama Canal was an incredible sight, and busy!

  4. I rode a bus like that in El Salvador or ?—breath-taking in more ways than one! :0)

  6. I would never had guessed you had wanderlust, Sue. 🙂 We saw a sloth in Costa Rica. Easy to get a good shot of them. 🙂

  10. I am envious of your travels, especially South America. I also admire your determination to get out and see such things. At least we get to come along vicariously, thanks to your photos.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  11. Lovely Sue from a fellow wanderlust!

  12. Wonderful Sue! Love the shot looking down on the buses 🙂 Costa Rica is a dream destination for me! Desperately want to see the wildlife there.

  13. I’d love to see a sloth, they are the yoga practitioners of the animal kingdom!

  14. Being both a traveler and a photographer sure results in a lot of photo editing – you’ve done a fabulous job of both!

While in Costa Rica last month, I didn’t get a chance to see the sloths. But, there is always a next time. Thanks for posting this.
