Another image from an old slide…somewhere in France, twenty years ago… I love the shadow play here, but it needs a person in that pool of light at the back, a la Cartier Bresson…… So, converted to monochrome to give a little hint of the Film Noir, and you can imagine that person, entering from the left….
Linked to Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge here
It does indeed make the viewer anticipate the arrival of someone in the opening at the back.
Nice work, Sue, and very suitable for black and white.
Best wishes, Pete.
If it was me taking that image now, I would lurk until someone came into shot! But I was young and naive, and never wanted people in my images!
Oh yes. It’s that man in the mac with his collar turned up, and a haunted look in his eye 🙂
Of corse!
In fact I think it’s Yves Montand 🙂
No oo….Alain Delon!
Oh alright then. He’s definitely dishier. Tho Yves does mood 🙂
Delon did serious mood, too…some of his characters were not to be messed with!
You’re making me feel the need for an Alain Delon film season 🙂
I’ve got a boxed set, and they’re great! Only one I’m missing is Le Samourai
Oh now there’s a thought. We don’t have a TV only a screen and a DVD player. A boxed set for autumn viewing – bliss.
😀
Sue, nice and dramatic photo this week. 😀 😀
Glad you like it, Cee!
I like the lines.
Good! Thanks, Meg!
Love the processing to heavier blacks. Indeed, I’m ready for someone like Harry Lime to appear from around the corner.
Glad you like this, Emilio! If it’s fit for Harry Lime, I must have got some menace in there…..
Cartier Bresson 👍
Thanks, Gavin!
