For Dawn’s Lingering Look at Windows challenge this week (to which I am completely addicted), I have taken an image from my travels some years ago in the Harz mountain region of Germany. Over the last few days, I have been rather constrained in my activities following a fall and a nasty sprained ankle. So, what’s a girl to do but have a good old reminisce, which I duly did, trawling through some transparencies taken in eastern Germany. This, as mentioned in a previous post, was triggered by a newspaper article on this region.
So, I found one image from the town of Goslar with umpteen windows in the facade and on the roof of a building. Taken as a whole, it was a bit too ‘busy’ so I split it into the roof (windows peeping through the tiles), and the facade (windows with a gazillion reflections). In doing this, the images (scanned from the transparencies) have lost some resolution, but I thought, what the heck you get the idea, and here they are.
