This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is Street Life.Very apposite, as I have recently been taking some images in London, trying to capture the movement in a city – people and/or transport.
Cheri Lucas Rowlands says ‘A place reveals itself on its streets, from pedestrians strolling during lunch time, to performers entertaining tourists on sidewalks, to the bustle of local markets, and more….For this challenge, document the movement (or stillness) of a street: tell a story with your snapshot, capture a scene that reveals a bit about a place, or simply show us where you live”
The common theme in these images following is the London bus! Firstly, one Saturday around St Paul’s:
There were large numbers of football supporters in Trafalgar square on another day, some chatting, some milling about and others rushing through:
Loved the slogan on the bus (hope the supporters all had theirs):

Loving the Traf! Super shots and love the new look.
New look? Oh, well, not so new now 🙂
That’s what happens when life and puppies and jollies to N. Africa happen… 😀
Ah…
love the inclusion of the bus in your images…
Glad you enjoyed! 🙂
Nice feeling of motion in your pics Sue. You have caught the bustle of London well.
Jude xx
Thanks, Jude! I’m trying to experiment more with my photo taking, time to think more about harnessing shutter speed and depth of field in my images, to create mood and atmosphere. I’d got lazy….
I’m feeling guilty now. I hardly ever take my camera off auto settings, though I do change the type of mode it is in. Need to practice the aperture and shutter speed settings.
Guilt is not my intention….
Don’t worry, I’ll get there one day 😀
🙂
Fun images Sue, I could really feel the sense of vibrancy and pace in the city.
Great! Just what I was aiming for…I’m trying to think more about how I photograph, to create atmosphere, mood, whatever…become less lazy 🙂
Nice slices of London street life and I like the sense of motion you caught.

Thanks Janet, glad you liked! 🙂
Love the color and crowds. You’ve captured a great point in time!
Thanks Rusha, much appreciated! 🙂

Interesting photos Sue. It always intrigues how much red I see when I go to London. So many red buses, so many people in red clothes etc. It really stands out against the grey and white of the buildings.
Well, we need a bit of brightness! 🙂

Very nice photography !
Many thanks! 🙂
Wow, this is London … I miss it now !!!! About 4 years since last. Living in UK, both Brighton and Belfast, London was my monthly playground.
And what a playground, eh?
Yes, what a playground …. time to play again. *smile
