Weekly Photo Challenge: Eerie

There have been some brilliant responses to this week’s Weekly Photo challenge of Eerie set by Cheri Lucas Rowlands at WordPress…check some out for yourself. Because of the standard of other entries, I thought this was one I would miss. Then I decided that this black and white image, taken at the abandoned village of Craco in Italy, would perhaps be appropriate….just look at those birds circling above the ruins, and the atmospheric clouds!

  2. Incredible shot! Definitely appropriate!

  3. thanks for sharing this great shot. i, too, thought a B&W perspective hit the theme well

  4. Really well done! And completely scary in this time of the year… 😀

    • Thanks! That bit of beefing up in Snapseed seems to have done the trick….but Craco is quite eerie anyway, so I can’t take all the credit…. 🙂

  5. Fabulous!! Looks like a castle for a vampire movie!

  6. Excellent choice, love the birds around the tower!

  7. This is just perfect! Are they cave houses?

    • Some of the houses seem to have been built into the rock, and I guess originally many of them were cave dwellings…. Glad you liked the image.
