At last, I have created an entry for Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge, this week Reflections and Shadows – seems ages since I have participated…
Today, I was out photographing, and it just so happened that a couple of images fit this challenge. I have a reflection of a heron on a post, and my shadows on a blind have been given a quick ‘film noir’ treatment (well, it is nearly Halloween, but I should have had a stalking figure or a stray hand….)

Heron reflection

Shadow noir
Beautiful reflection and shadow. I always like blue herons!
Thanks Cee 🙂
That heron looks a bit pleased with himself 🙂
Well, he certainly was soon after because he got himself a nice fish, best photo I never got as I was faffing about changing lenses!!
😦
Love the heron 🙂
He was such a poser… 🙂
Both pictures are lovely, but it’s the Shadow Noir that stands out for me. I like the suggestive feeling it radiates. Both the tones and the composition adds to the film noir association. Very well done, Susan.
Many thanks for your positive endorsement…I like monochrome but often have the feeling that I haven’t captured what I wanted. This one was a bit of experimentation that seemed to work.
Yep, that heron certainly seems smug 🙂 That is a fabulous shot Sue. But I too like Shadow Noir a wee bit better.
As I said to someone else, the worst of it was that I missed heron catching fish…the image that got away!
