Off to Spain and some Moorish architecture for this one. I loved the Mesquita in Cordoba….so many interesting aspects of this grand building which had different roles over the centuries.
It provides us with many different shapes and designs, some very intricate:

They were very striking, very bold…but equally there was some very intricate lattice work

It is a fascinating place, not that I have been there. Did you watch the BBC 4 programme on Monday? Blood and Gold. Very interesting and he was in the Mesquita too.
