Animal companions

Ailsa is looking for animal companions this week. Could have shown the donkeys from Greece again, but instead I trawled another archive. Around a decade ago in the region of Maramures in Romania, I noticed a number of animal companions. Solid oxen pulling a cart:

A calf just purchased at the livestock market, looking most inquisitive:

More animal companions here

  1. Oh my, how wonderful….

  2. I should have entered a photo of me with Ollie!
(But I wouldn’t have taken it, if I was in it…)
    Nice selection, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Lovely clarity in photos of people going about their business with animals that are more than companions. I bet that pig has a culinary destiny!

  4. I do like the oxen and the calf. I find it hard to admire pigs, tasty though they undoubtedly are. 🙂

  5. Love your choices, Sue.

  6. I love the piglet Sue 🙂

  7. Wonderful! Adore that piglet!

Over to you...
