To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Oh, wow!
It was quite a sight…at le Puy en Velay, forgotten the name of the ecclesiastical edifice…. My mother pointed it out as we were driving back from Provence in 2006. Unfortunately it was backlit against the low sun, but I rescued the image somewhat.
Very much rescued!
Thank you, Margaret!
what an amazing place
It is! The Cathédrale Notre Dame du Puy at Puy en Velay in the Auvergne
Lovely shot, Sue. So peaceful, but I might give the long walk up a miss these days. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
I only saw it from a distance, Pete, so sadly I never walked up there!
What a sight
It was!
Got all my info from the comments. Thanks, Sue!
But do you like it, Jo?
Absolutely. But I need to Google whereabouts. I’m not good on France. Going to Toulouse in October and I have a short hit list.
It’s in the Auvergne, not near Toulouse!
I gathered, but I don’t know France so I was just checking 🤣🩷. Happy Monday!
Happy Monday, Jo!
I love that framing. One has to wonder how willing anyone was to leave there, once they’d climbed all the stairs.
A tough climb, I would think!
