To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
A reliable witness indeed!
She was the victim, and certainly had humour as her diagrams show
She must have been an insurance adjuster’s dream. Such precise recollection. Hope it turned out well for her.
One would hope so
1950s witness statement… precious documen.
It is amazing it survived that long in an old case
This must be a first for 6 words, Sue!
Perhaps it is!
Amazing what one can find in the attic (or similar)! 😉
Absolutely, this was at a friends mother’s house. When I cleared my own attic when I moved I found an absolute treasure trove and made a good number of Still Life images
Fascinating – and what a wonderful 6WS
Thanks, Debbie!
I love this, such precious drawings and as you say a bit of humour. I wonder how old she was. A great find 🙂
She was probably about 50, I’m told
That’s really interesting, Sue!
Fun to come across!
Fascinating detailed piece of history, Sue.
Thanks, Tom!
I can remember filling in similar reports in the 1960s. I smiled at the description of a ‘Utility Car’. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
What do you think that would have been…electricity or water or some such?
I think we would call it a van or a pickup now, Sue. This from the web.
‘A utility vehicle is a vehicle, generally motorized, that is designed to carry out a specific task with more efficacy than a passenger vehicle. It sometimes refers to a small truck with low sides.’
Ah, OK! Learn something every day
Ahh! I feel quite an indignation. How rude!
?
It was rude of that car to hit her. I could feel her indignation as she was drawing, just this. No harm meant. She was right!!
Ah! I see what you mean, Manja
oh my word Sue, what a dramatic tale for the weekend
Yes
😊
