My shiny is anything but…..
Give me a bit of abandoned, dereliction and decay, and my mind and shutter finger can go into overdrive, as they did here:

Nice theme of doors into doors, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Many thanks, Pete…
Apparently shiny is the word today. I love the way the first photo pulls you into it, but also like the sun shine across the floor of the second one as it adds dimension
Yes, mine aren’t really shiny, but….
You have to have dark to have shiny..or shining…or a scary story about Shining 🙂
Hahaha!
They shine for their beauty…!
That’s a nice way of putting it, Anna!
Yours should be called ‘Oh, shabby’, Sue 🙂 🙂 In the nicest possible way.
With respect, definitely not shabby….there can be dignity in some of these old things…..
Like you and me, you mean? X
But of course! 😉
I like your maverick approach to this challenge. So apt that Sue’s shiny is decay! I love the lineup of doorways in the first one, and the light and texture and tiny plant (and pun) in the second.
Good! Glad you appreciate the pun,….
I can understand your distraction. There is something about derelict buildings and to show in black and white is just perfect.
Thank you, Irene!
I knew it…but it’s great.
Teehee!
I think the second shot would show better in colour – it is little difficult to see the different texures in b&W
Well, I don’t agree….
