I don’t have any creepy images, and no time to create any at present….
But is this ectoplasm? Should I be worried?
Beam me up, Scotty….

Don’t know if this is creepy, but it’s a really cool photo!
Thanks! I don’t think it is especially creepy, but glad you think it’s cool! I love negative space…..
It’s really strange Sue, are you going to explain?
Explain what, Gilly?
What the ectoplasm is???
Wikipedia says ‘Ectoplasm (paranormal), supposed physical substance that manifests as a result of energy’
In my image, the light reflected on the wall to give the window out line, but also this other ‘thing’ in the image….my ‘ectoplasm’
In my youth, some of the horror stories I read had this mysterious ectoplasm, imbued with all sorts of alien properties!
It works for me, Sue. I’m convinced!
Best wishes, Pete.
Pete, I never thought you were so easily duped! 😉 (or am I missing something…….)
I am not talking about Ectoplasm, Sue. I don’t believe in that. But I liked the overall effect of the photo. Hence, ‘works for me,’ and being ‘convinced’ about the negative space. Mind you, I was tongue in cheek on both meanings…
Best wishes, Pete.
😀
Okay . . .
Makes sense?
Yikes! 😳
😉😀
I love the off-balance in this one, and the density of the negative space.
Thanks, Meg! Another fan of negative space! 🙂
At least I knew I had it right this time!
Indeed! 🙂
hauntingly beautiful…and yes, a bit creepy!
Thank you, Susan! 🙂
Love it Sue! Sooo atmospheric 🙂
Thanks, Jane – atmospheric was what I hoped for 🙂
‘hehehe’ – 😀 you can’t scare me I was a huge Alfred Hitchcock freak already when I started in school – it’s actually true – tricked me to see the movies when my parents had gone to bed – but excellent idea for the theme… 🙂
Haha! Glad you liked it, anyway, Drake!
Put that cigarette out Sue!
Never smoked in my life…..see, there was something else there 😱
😀 😀
super!!!
Thanks!
Maybe call Ghostbusters? 🙂
And have a good laugh….can’t keep a straight face with Bill Murray….

I see dead people 🙀
😧
Excellent shot Sue and it would make a great cover for one of Stephen King or Dean Koontz’s novels. I love it! 😀
Thanks, Sonel!
It freaks me out. Good job! 🙂
😀
Very creepy Sue – something on its way to the other side 😦
Certainly a bit liminal….
A very suggestive photo, Suzan, wow! And if it’s get too creepy… just open the window and let in the fresh air.
Thanks, Marion! 😀
This would make a great book cover
Actually, you aren’t the first to say that! 😀
Fun, Sue. I have some similar photos in my files, so I thought I knew what it was. But it looks really cool and ectoplasm-ish.

😀😀
Definitely creepy Sue!! Excellent entry.
Thank you, Tina! I didn’t think it really fit the bill as most people like in your face creepy, but I prefer psychological creepy. Perhaps like HP Lovecraft or MR James….. Masters of the unexplained.
Is it a ghost? Is it a bird? Or is it a heavy smoker!!! Got us all talking and commenting Sue. Good one…
I’m glad it got people talking! 🙂
This is creepy to me, ectoplasm or not, the way the window stands alone in the dark is enough for me! Great photo Sue 🙂
Thanks, Sherri…..a dark window in a dark room…… I remember waking up in the middle of the night in a Gite in France, years ago…not a scrap of light because the windows were shuttered. I did have the abdabs then…shot out of the room like a scalded cat, and found some light
Oh no! We are off to stay in a Gite in the Loire Valley in September! I hope I won’t be doing the same!! They love their dark, shuttered rooms don’t they? 😮
But you don’t have to close the shutters! I’ve stayed in Gites a number of times since, just left the shutters part open!
Will do, thanks for the heads-up Sue!!
😀
