This week, Ann Christine has asked us to find images showing time spent by an individual or a couple apart from others. Some time ago I had a series of images of a lone person in a town or landscape, so I have plenty to choose from. Having said that, many of the would not qualify for alone time, as they would not be alone out of choice. Anyway, here goes
Time alone in the natural world, Transylvania, Romania:
..another one in the natural world, it looks a lovely spot for contemplation:
…and more contemplation:
Now for enjoying a drink (coffee, beer, whatever) and a bit of alone time:
Or perhaps alone with a book:
Now for people alone with their music:
Finally, cycling in the mountains:

Great photos Sue, the second one I really liked, great composition and mood
Many thanks, Ritva…right place, right time!
That is the recipe for a great photo 😊
Wonderful alone gallery Sue. Love the selfie 🙂
Nice choices, Sue. You may remember that I used the first one as a photo-prompt for a short story called ‘Transport’, in 2020.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete…and yes, I recall that story
Lovely choices, Sue – recognise some but not all. You know I love your lone series, and here are some favourites too! The woman in a hat on the bench looks just relaxed, and of course you with a book – a great portrait with just enough light to make it even more interesting. Good idea with people alone with their music – I don’t think anyone else posted on that.
Pleased you like this post, A C!
My favorite is the woman on the bench swing.
That’s a lovely gallery, Sue, making going solo look a very positive choice.
Yay! Thanks for the positive comment!😄
I love the one of you, Sue.
I’m sure Billy Connelly has snuck into your music section! I like the woman staring across the trees (or maybe she has just stopped for a rest).
I love the Transylvania photos, sue. So familiar and so foreign at the same time. The coffee shop patrons also get to me. 🙂
I only had one from Transylvania in this set, Poland twice. Pleased you like these…
I made a typo – I meant photo, referring to the first photo. 🙂 Fast, sloppy typing.
Oh, I do it all the time!
Alone time is so essential, especially around nature. It helps you introspect and connect with the inner self.
