Lens Artists Photo Challenge #219 : Treasure Hunt

This week, Tina has given us a number of items to choose from to show for a treasure hunt, and I shall show a few.

First up, a child, well actually 2 children:

Connecting in play

Now for an Umbrella, seen in Borough, London:

And very seasonally, some Autumn foliage from Sheffield Park garden., quite some years ago:

…and what’s not to love about reflections?

Finally, some French twee, noticed somewhere in northern France, don’t ask me where:

  1. A great selection here. I like the umbrella best: a real feeling of a gusty day.

  2. You rose to the challenge with aplomb, Sue. Great selection.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Terrific Sue! Honestly I’d have been tempted to knock on the door to meet the person who would have put that display together!! Loved that as well as the reflection especially. Also loved that you used B&W for the children’s photo. I could see that one as a book cover.

    • Sue

Many thanks, Tina. I have seen plenty of fun French twee over the years! They seem to have a flair for it. Pleased you liked the children in monochrome…I thought it rendered the image timeless

  4. Great selection and super photos! I love the B&W shot of the children in the field – an atmosphere of never-ending summers of childhood, timeless 🙂 And the umbrella shot is another favourite.

  5. All thoughtful add-ons to the challenge. Such tenderness in the one of the children. I loved the umbrella and how the heart mural brought love to an otherwise blustery day. And The birds on the red is so delicate at first. And than I laughed when I saw the bird, living his best life. Donna

  6. Great selections Sue. I do love the reflections 🙂

  7. Lovely nostalgia with the black and white, Sue, and I love the brolly lady too.

  8. A fine selection, Sue. That first shot has a feeling of times past – when the world made more sense and things seemed simpler.

  9. Particularly love the reflections – with just that one flash of colour and the bird.

  10. The photo of the woman with the umbrella is wonderful!

  11. For the umpteenth time I can easily imagine that first photo on a greeting card. I can think of several friends I could send it to. (I still send letters by mail!)
