I shall predominantly show sunrises and sunsets in their different guises
First up, a gentle pastel sunrise:

..and now for a bolder sunrise:

Now let’s see a sunburst through the trees

Next up, sun rays through the clouds

A rather dramatic sunset in Lanzarote

…and sun setting at sea:

And that’s where I shall conclude!

Love this series, from the gentle pastel sunrise… to sunsetting to the sea. All are beautifully captured. The images of sun rays and sunburst through the trees are breathtaking.
Thank you, Sue!
Many thanks, Amy! Pleased you like my selection!
I do like that gentle sunrise and the beautiful ending, Sue. 🤗💗
Well I thought hopefully something for everyone, Jo! You and Jude have chosen completely different images…..and I knew you would go for the last one 😄
Me and Jude have completely different tastes, but I love her. You too! Strangely disorientated back in the Algarve this morning 🙄💗
Disorientated, Jo? Go for one of your wanders by the sea
Croquet, followed by lunch with friends, followed by watering some other friends plants, followed by food shopping. Almost certainly there will be beach tomorrow 🤣🏖️💕
Enjoy!
Crepuscular rays do it for me every time, though the sunburst is pretty spectacular.
I love crepuscular rays, but actually have hardly any images, Jude. And I was well pleased with that sunburst, probably my best!
Sunbursts are difficult to get right.
They are indeed…but usually a narrow aperture will get you there
WOW. Excellent photos, all. I like the monochrome too!
Thanks, John!
Fabulous sun photos Sue 🙂
Thank you, Brian, pleased you like them
You shared some really nice photos for this challenge. I enjoyed them a lot, Sue.
Thank you very much, Pat! I actually had a better variety than I thought I would
My favorite…Early Morning Flare.
Thank you, Dawn! One of my best of those!
Enjoyed the variety
🍃😊🙏
Good, that was my hope!
Exquisite. Since I do see sunsets myself but seldom see sunrises – thank you!
Result! And I rarely see sunrises these days….
A lovely varied display.
Well, I had quite a few to choose from in the archive!
The joy of an ever changing light…. nice series 🙂
The joy, indeed…thanks, David
Great selection, Sue. No sun here today, it has been raining for over 12 hours solid. The lightning woke me up before dawn, illuminating the bedroom.
Best wishes, Pete.
It’s good to see the rain, Pete!
I had to walk Ollie in it, but I appreciated the cool temperature it brought.
At least there was a plus, Pete!
Wonderful series, the monochrome one is stunning.
Many thanks, Maria!
Gorgeous sun photos for this challenge. 😀
Thank you’ Cee!
All lovely – my favourites are the bold one and the monochrome one. The extremes?
Maybe, but why not?
Indeed!
Love the start to finish aspect of this post. Sunrises and sunsets are always special but I especially like the middle parts with the sun bursting through the trees or the clouds.
Thanks, Elizabeth, pleased you liked the start to finish!
