I wasn’t going to take images of a grotty insect called a fly (and can’t quickly lay my hands on an air balloon image) so here is a stork showing us how it can fly:

It’s pretty good at flying, isn’t it? 🤣💗 Lovely shot, Sue.
Thanks, Jo…it was lovely to watch the storks in Romania
The stork is so graceful, and you captured it beautifully, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.

Works for me. 🙂
Thanks, Janet!
So much fun! I loved seeing them in Germany a few years ago. You’re lucky to have them.
I’ve only seen them in Romania(where this was taken), or in Alsace
I guess if I thought about it I did know they were on the continent and not in England but they must be less common than I thought. I was lucky to see them…and it was by chance. When we traveled to the northern EU in 2019 we went to the small village in Germany where my paternal grandmother was born and raised. We were driven around by a distant relative (we couldn’t figure out exactly how we’re related!) and she mentioned a nest so I said, “Yes! Let’s look for it!” and there they were, flying around their nest and a field. Nice memory.
Fab!
LOVE this fly photo, Sue!
What a nice glide and freedom feeling you have us
Pleased you like it!
And did the stork just drop off a baby and is now flying free for the next one ?
Hahaha
Who knows, perhaps it was this one: https://suejudd.com/2020/04/13/top-nest-topsquares-13/.
Haha!!
