Lens-Artist’s photo challenge #204: Doors/Doorways

This week Sylvia is asking us to show images of Doors and Doorframes. Let’s see what a variety I can find…

First for a very large church door, seen in Sicily:

Now for a view through a church door (I did post this not so long ago, but I love this image):

And now for a rather ornate doorway to a restaurant in, I think, Eger in Hungary:

And now for some old, mostly abandoned, doors and doorframes:

  1. Some great examples here. And although I love the shot of the Sicilian church door, it’s the dilapidated doors that attract me most (it takes one to know one …)

  2. What wonderful doors you have on display this week. I really like your second photo 😀

  3. Fabulous doors Sue 🙂

  4. What a lovely collection – I love the first one for its texture and scale, and the last one for falling completely in an almost musical way!apart

  5. I like the view from inside the church but my favorite doors are the dilapidated ones.

  6. Wonderful selection

  7. A wonderful selection for the theme, Sue. The delapidated doors are so poignant.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  8. interesting set of door images, Sue. Lots of great colors and textures. 🙂

  9. My favourite is probably through the church door, Sue. That’s compelling.

  10. Love a good bit of dilapidation! Terrific.

  11. Sue, I like your diverse collection of doors and especially the slatted church door with the view outside. A great picture!
