This week, Amy has asked us to share little things that make us smile.
During lockdown and ever since, I have explored the local area more, and found myself noticing wild flowers, trees, and other things in nature more than I used to. Here are some little flowers on the verge that I found rather appealing, and lifted my mood:

Time shared with friends is precious, and I value the Zoom conversations I have with friends, and even more the face to face interactions, better still if it involves a meal. Here I was treated to some Caviar by a friend- first time I had ever tasted it (and the Pinot Blanc I chose accompanied it nicely):

And finally, a tiny ancient Shepherd’s church at the foot of the South Downs that made me smile very broadly when we found it…as I don’t travel as much as I used to, it was a real treat to see:

These are fun photo Sue 😀 😀
Glad you think so, Cee!
You came through Covid well, Sue. These are lovely reminders of that. 🤗💕
Well, Jo….Covid is still with us….I’ve just been lucky so far, and cautious too
Beautiful images, Sue. It’s a wonderful treat for me to enjoy these moments through your lens!
Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Thank you, Amy! 😊😊
I have had the same experience seeing things out of my same window that I swear were never there before!
😄😄😄
Welsh poppies? I have never seen Pinot Blanc though I love Pinot Noir! It is good to appreciate the little things in life.
I first came across Pinot Blanc in Alsace, which is where that one came from, but it is produced elsewhere. And what’s with Welsh poppies?? Scotch mist?
Sue
All the photo are great for the theme – and the top one for me is the table still life (and caviar is truly such a little thing that packs a richness)
Love the mood of it and I am also glad for face to face interactions again
💛
Thanks! The caviar was a bit of decadence! Pleased you liked this post

Caviar and blinis. One of my favourite combinations. It’s going to be hard to get since the ban on importing it from Russia because of the war.
Best wishes, Pete.
Well, only my first time, and I wasn’t likely to have any more due to the expense, and now the ban on importing!
