This month, Jude has chosen Black and Grey for Life in Colour. I am going to start with images of people, or more specifically women, Women in Black, taken over the years
Here she is on the Ponte Vecchia

…in Vienna

…Venice (with the bonus of a grey and grungy street)

…on Crete:

..in rural Maramures, Romania

…and in Guildford, Surrey, England

Linked to Life in Colour at Jude’s here
What a great collection of ladies in black. Love the idea of them.
Thanks, Mari! A few years ago I realised I had a number of these images, so decided to see if I could get a few more
What a fun collection Sue 🙂
Yes, I thought it was!
She gets around! Lucky you were always there to capture her, Sue.
Best wshes, Pete.
Oh, I’m sure I’ve missed a load!
I had to have a look with a title like that.
I love the Vienna one, Sue – such a purposeful stride
Absolutely! A woman of her time…
She gets around, your woman in black. Well noticed.
Thanks, Margaret. I like it when I can collate images with a common theme….these weren’t thought of as a series until more recently
That was fun, Sue. We have the movie “Men in Black”, although that was quite different. 🙂
Ah, but I saw the 1989 horror film ‘The Woman in Black, so that’s where I got the name from!!
What a great idea – and wonderful execution.
Many thanks, Elke!
ooh this feels like the start of an Alfred Hitchcock film!
Teehee! Actually, did you ever see the 1989 film of that name with Bernard Helton…I guess not, You’re too young!
Not too long, just not keen on horror despite the best attempts of my Sixth Form friends to convince me otherwise!
I don’t do horror generally but this was psychological rather than gory
I’ll have to investigate then!
It was based on a story by Susan Hill
I love your Women in Black! Such a great series. I hope you continue to find them.
I don’t think so, Jude, not any more
This is a fine series.
Thanks, Manja!
What a great theme this is for Jude’s challenge. 😀 😀
Yay!!
Great collection of women walking past you.
I like the ‘walking away’ images!
yes, they are nice
