More from Malta: PastSquares 20

Found the last few prints of the prehistoric temple site in Malta, scroll down to see the Squares! This could be Hahar qim, but I’m not too sure:

Wish I knew what this was

  1. I have long wanted to visit Malta, now even more so! 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. oh you really did explore – fantastic squares. Have you tried reverse image search to see if anything comes up to identify the location?

  3. Marvellous. I’ve never been and have few preconceptions.

  4. Looks like a great adventure Sue 🙂

  5. I am fascinated by ruins and these are very appealing! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Really like that first square, Sue, and your first portrait shot.

  7. Great to see some more photos, Sue. Though I think there’s not much to say about your mystery ‘objects’ which still seem to be described as ‘niches’ in the archaeological lit. One of the standard works back in the 70s talked a lot about ‘ritual objects’. So we’re not much further forward. This site sums things up quite well and has some nice pix of niches and ritual objects:
