Still in Sicily, a scene from a more recent past than the previous two posts. This was taken in a strreet in Ragusa, looking up to the first floor of a building with religious icons and past scenes in alcoves between shuttered windows. I couldn’t get any closer, but thought it rather interesting….and I know nothing of the building’s history.

Linked to Past Squares at Beckys here
I’d move in here!
Beats a cave any day?
Definitely!
😄😄😄
The only trouble is the walk to get to town – seriously uphill!
Yes, I’d forgotten that
Used to that here in Winchester, one of the reasons MrB rarely walks from ours into town!
Hmmm
Excellent. You and Debbie are determined we’ll get to know Sicily.
Well, I’ve been having some nostalgic trips through the sadly not very extensive Sicily archive
Aha, I recognise it. Just had a look to see if I had a shot of it, and it’s there, but side on. I didn’t take one face on – I was too busy enjoying a wonderful olive gelato.
All the same, I hope you’ll post the side view! And olive gelato, eh??😳
That is unusual. I have not seen anything like that elsewhere.
Best wishes, Pete.
Me neither!
Shutters and ornate railings, what’s not to love!
Absolutely!
Love the alcoves! Waiting for Debs’ perspective.
Indeed!
It does look charming 😀 😀
Thank you, Cee!
