What beautiful gold, Sue. I am always impressed when I see places like this but also feel of mixed mind when I think of all the people who have lived in poverty because a few people wanted such wealth.

Wow, that’s glorious! We spent just a few hours in Palermo some years ago and didn’t see much other than the cathedral (from outside – it was closed) and a market. We keep meaning to go back and now I’ve seen this I’m even more keen to do so!
Well, I wasn’t there very long, but saw some of the best bits!!
