Lens artists challenge #142: You Pick it!

I’m going for motion – in the words of Canadian photographer David du Chenin “Shoot what it feels like, not what it looks like, right? ”

So, here goes….experiments with shutter speed

The scenery in Sicily, as the coach whizzed along – green fields, mountains, quite a rugged landscape, but beguiling:

and now to bustling waiters etc…a sense of lively motion:

And now some London motion

  1. Great examples of blur, Sue!
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. LOL, each month I present a challenge to our photography club of 100 members, and in our monthly meeting I present their submissions to the club in a video. This month our subject was “action” in which I asked our members to illustrate motion. It was the lowest number of submissions we’ve ever had! Action/motion is difficult for many to capture but you’ve shown how important it is with your excellent examples Sue!

  3. You executed that idea well, Sue. I really like the blur shots.

  4. Baby is sleeping so I am taking the opportunity to pop across and say hello 🙂 these are brilliant Sue. So good. Were they all intentional blurs or are some happy accidents?

  5. Excellent topic and selections. Well done.

  6. Definitely good blurring there and interesting subjects.

  7. You know how I love your motion pictures…you are fantastic, Sue! I have many favourites, I will mention only two: Stormy seas and fleeting glimpse – amazing!

  8. This is a cool and very interesting gallery for this challenge. 😀 😀

  9. Amy

Your motion photos are very impressive. It’s a challenging photographing skills. I love every single one of your selections.

  10. Love the scenery whizzing by – very painterly…

  11. You know your stuff, Sue 🙂 🙂

  12. Blurs work, Sue. Cheers to your creativity.

  13. Uuu, these are effective! I love the most Sicily Abstract 3 and the last three of London. Great stuff!

  14. Fleeting glimpse really captured it for me.
