I’m going for motion – in the words of Canadian photographer David du Chenin “Shoot what it feels like, not what it looks like, right? ”
So, here goes….experiments with shutter speed
The scenery in Sicily, as the coach whizzed along – green fields, mountains, quite a rugged landscape, but beguiling:
and now to bustling waiters etc…a sense of lively motion:
And now some London motion

Great examples of blur, Sue!
Best wishes, Pete.
LOL, each month I present a challenge to our photography club of 100 members, and in our monthly meeting I present their submissions to the club in a video. This month our subject was “action” in which I asked our members to illustrate motion. It was the lowest number of submissions we’ve ever had! Action/motion is difficult for many to capture but you’ve shown how important it is with your excellent examples Sue!
Many thanks, Tina! I haven’t done any recently, I need to get out more!
You executed that idea well, Sue. I really like the blur shots.
Baby is sleeping so I am taking the opportunity to pop across and say hello 🙂 these are brilliant Sue. So good. Were they all intentional blurs or are some happy accidents?
All intentional, Becky 🎯
You’re sooooo good 🤩
I’m a talented little bunny, yes?
You are indeed
Excellent topic and selections. Well done.
Definitely good blurring there and interesting subjects.
Thank you, Mari
You know how I love your motion pictures…you are fantastic, Sue! I have many favourites, I will mention only two: Stormy seas and fleeting glimpse – amazing!
Thanks, Ann Christine! A Fleeting Glimpse was taken a good few years ago now, one of my earlier experiments and probably my favourite (and best)!
This is a cool and very interesting gallery for this challenge. 😀 😀
Pleased you enjoyed it, Cee!
Your motion photos are very impressive. It’s a challenging photographing skills. I love every single one of your selections.
Many thanks, Amy!
Love the scenery whizzing by – very painterly…
Thank you that was the plan!
You know your stuff, Sue 🙂 🙂
I am so talented, Jo!! 😄😄😂
And modest with it, Sue 🙂 🙂
Blurs work, Sue. Cheers to your creativity.
Many thanks, Frank! A lot of fun
Uuu, these are effective! I love the most Sicily Abstract 3 and the last three of London. Great stuff!
Thank you, Manja! I had fun over the years taking these!
Fleeting glimpse really captured it for me.
Thanks, Elizabeth…probably my best motion image!
I am glad you agree.
