Today, we’re heading off to a rural village in SouthWest Turkey, near Fethiye, to visit a lovely lady with a weaving loom from whom I purchased a couple of fine cotton scarves. Sadly, careless me lost one of the scarves on a coach in Portugal….

A peaceful face, Sue! Now, whereabouts in Portugal? I’ll go looking 🙂 🙂
Can’t remember now, somewhere near Lisbon, I think!
Not going up that way for a while 🙂 🙂

Another face full of character. Those old craft traditions are always a delight to watch in action.
Best wishes, Pete.

Lovely portrait and you must be happy to have this memory of the maker of your scarves. It makes them so much more worth keeping.

She has calm written all over her face doesn’t she? I didn’t know what “catchlights in her eyes” were until I looked at the second photo…..very interesting Sue! I am glad you offered us both photos because they show is two different types of photos! Well done! Cady

Thank you very much, Ju-Lyn, pleased I have been of inspiration! And it’s not about the camera, its creating a rapport with the person, however briefly. I hope you have a go
