Lens Artists Photo Challenge #137: Soft

Ann Christine has asked us to show ‘soft’

Firstly, I always think clouds are soft. I actually have very few images, but here is one that I took from a hotel window in Najac in the Aveyron years ago….I just wish I had taken more images:

Dawn mist in the Aveyron

Little birds always make me think ‘soft’, like this duckling

I created a Still Life with these soft, fluffy seed heads…tricky, they were floating everywhere

Fluffy things

And gentle, pastel blossom also has me thinking soft

  1. Lovely choices, Sue. Who can resist a fluffy duckling?
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. These are gorgeous, Sue! You’re on a roll 🤗💕 Nice enough for a jaunt round the block today?

  3. maristravels

All soft and lovely but your clouds get my vote as No. 1.

  4. And all bringing out my soft spot!

  5. So lovely and definitely soft Sue. Your closing image was my favorite of this beautiful post. The soft background is perfect for the blushing blossoms.

  6. Oh lovely, absolutely beautiful, Sue! Fluffiness and softness…colours of my heart. And the duckling!!! You found it – and it’s the sweetest of sweet. ♥ Love them all – but I do think your still life (you are a master of still lifes) and the blossoms are the favourites for me.
And Sue – your link brought me to former East Germany

  7. Oh Sue, these photos of yours are absolutely gorgeous for softness. Outstanding. I like your flower 😀

  8. the composition and colors of your “fluffy ones”…so beautiful it touched my heart softly.

  9. Beautiful ‘softies’!

  10. What beautiful choices, Sue. My mind went in similar directions (clouds and ducklings) even though I ended up going elsewhere.

  11. I wonder why I couldn’t resist saying “aww..” when I saw the duckling photo. I guess you touched that spot in me. Thanks.

  12. Cheers to Ann-Christine’s challenge and your wonderful interpretation. The first image is my favorite.

  13. So ducky soft Sue 🙂 🙂

  14. Amy

A beautiful set of soft images, Sue. The first two are my favorite!

  15. Oh my goodness! Such a lovely series of “softs”.
My favourite is the cutie … makes me just want to hug it!
I love your still life as well – so artistic & pleasing.
And that first capture with the clouds – it looks so magical, like a watercolour! I actually did wonder if it was a photograph, which I confirmed it was by reading your captions.

  16. A great collection, Sue. Varied and perfect for the challenge!

  17. Ana

    Great soft examples!

  18. Beautiful gallery. I love the first shot though.
