Having done my Pilates lesson (on Zoom) this morning, I decided to do a circuit of the block just after lunch as the sun came out as it seems an age since I was in the fresh air.
There is the remains of a tree stump on the lawn which is now host to a large bracket fungus which has seen better days…..seen against some moss, I thought there were some good textures:

Nice find. I do like a fungussy stump.
😄😄
That’s a cracking word 😂
Isn’t it just!
If that’s how you spell it …
Good textures indeed, Sue. Glad to hear you got outside. We had a relatively huge ‘warm up’ today. The snow mostly melted in +7C temperatures, and I became unusually hot on the dog walk with Ollie. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes, quite a warm day here, dry as well….but raining tomorrow 🙁
I’m so glad you got out for a little while. That must have felt good to feel the fresh air 😀
It did!
Bracket fungi can be quite spectacular and I like the mossy textures.
Yes, something of the forest about it
nice extras to explore here – 🙂 like light and hue
Yes!😊😊
Stump, fungi and moss = texture for sure Sue 🙂 🙂
Yes
Your textures, Sue! Happy to hear you went outdoors for a glimpse and a bucket of fresh air!
And a tiny view of the natural world! Raining here today, so I’m indoors all day 🙁
Cold here – staying inside if I can!
Have the heating engineers turned up?
They came yesterday…but so many things missing or wrong. New pipes, drilling new holes, only one man coming instead of two…I do hope they can finish it today or tomorrow.
I do hope they can
clever stuff fungi
Yep…magic mushrooms!
