Of Moss and Mushrooms

Having done my Pilates lesson (on Zoom) this morning, I decided to do a circuit of the block just after lunch as the sun came out as it seems an age since I was in the fresh air.

There is the remains of a tree stump on the lawn which is now host to a large bracket fungus which has seen better days…..seen against some moss, I thought there were some good textures:

  1. Nice find. I do like a fungussy stump.

  2. Good textures indeed, Sue. Glad to hear you got outside. We had a relatively huge ‘warm up’ today. The snow mostly melted in +7C temperatures, and I became unusually hot on the dog walk with Ollie. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. I’m so glad you got out for a little while. That must have felt good to feel the fresh air 😀

  4. Bracket fungi can be quite spectacular and I like the mossy textures.

  5. nice extras to explore here – 🙂 like light and hue

  6. Stump, fungi and moss = texture for sure Sue 🙂 🙂

  7. Your textures, Sue! Happy to hear you went outdoors for a glimpse and a bucket of fresh air!
