It’s Cold outside – Woolly Hat needed!

The Siberian wind is absolutely freezing. This gardener was moving pretty quickly….. Got to keep the body warm.

  1. No weather to be a gardener, Sue! 😦 😦 I have a woolly dut, with a pom pom on 🙂 🙂

  2. I was so wrapped up yesterday when we went out to enjoy the sunshine, I am not sure a single ray of sunshine found my skin!!

  3. Woolly hat. And gloves. And scarf. And woolly socks.

  4. Yestrday was indeed very cold. And despite the strong sunshine, today is even colder.I have a few hats, (mostly received as gifts) though I never wear them. Once I am walking briskly with Ollie, I get too hot if I wear a hat. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  5. Woolly here too, Sue. I don’t know why people have to garden in this cold…the only thing I do is feed the birds.

  6. I’ve been living in my folly fleece-lined dut – a pom pom too so I really ought to join up with Jo 🙂
And multiple layered trousers, thick socks, gloves and hand warmer. The hassle of layering is worth it for the sun!

I look terrible in a wooly hat (my hair’s too short I think) but I have a fur butcher boy’s cap with peak which I’m very pleased with and It’s big enough to pull down around my ears. With the wooley scarf pulled up to meet the cap I manage to keep out all wind. Lately I’ve taken to wearing the cap indoors as my hair is such a mess I hate passing a mirror so I look like a very eccentric old lady into the bargain.

  8. I feel I haven’t ventured out without a woolly hat for weeks! Totally flattens my lockdown locks, I’m with you and Mari on hating the current state of my hair.

  9. Must have been an urgent task to do it in that weather!
