To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
No weather to be a gardener, Sue! 😦 😦 I have a woolly dut, with a pom pom on 🙂 🙂
Rather what I thought
I was so wrapped up yesterday when we went out to enjoy the sunshine, I am not sure a single ray of sunshine found my skin!!
Well done for getting outside, I didn’t
Sensible woman, it was 10minutes fast paced walking before my hands warmed up, and I had gloves on!
Well, I can’t do fast, alas!
You need one of those heated overblankets to take out with you!
Nah
You’d better start squirting that vitamin D spray!
Am doing!
lol!! Thanks for the reminder – hadn’t taken today’s until I read this!
😂
Woolly hat. And gloves. And scarf. And woolly socks.
…and thermals?
Of course.
Sensible
Yestrday was indeed very cold. And despite the strong sunshine, today is even colder.I have a few hats, (mostly received as gifts) though I never wear them. Once I am walking briskly with Ollie, I get too hot if I wear a hat. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
I can believe that, Pete!
Woolly here too, Sue. I don’t know why people have to garden in this cold…the only thing I do is feed the birds.
Wise girl!
I’ve been living in my folly fleece-lined dut – a pom pom too so I really ought to join up with Jo 🙂
And multiple layered trousers, thick socks, gloves and hand warmer. The hassle of layering is worth it for the sun!
Well, yes if you are able bodied… I have limits!
I look terrible in a wooly hat (my hair’s too short I think) but I have a fur butcher boy’s cap with peak which I’m very pleased with and It’s big enough to pull down around my ears. With the wooley scarf pulled up to meet the cap I manage to keep out all wind. Lately I’ve taken to wearing the cap indoors as my hair is such a mess I hate passing a mirror so I look like a very eccentric old lady into the bargain.
Ah, I hate my hair when it gets longer, so maybe I need a hat!
I feel I haven’t ventured out without a woolly hat for weeks! Totally flattens my lockdown locks, I’m with you and Mari on hating the current state of my hair.
😢
😟
Must have been an urgent task to do it in that weather!
janet
Urgent in a garden?
That was me being sarcastic and wondering why you’d be out there in that weather unless there were something urgent. Not gardening weather.
But I got the feeling this person had been called in,….
Who knows? Still looks cold to be working outside. 🙂
Oh, I agree
