I wouldn’t want his job at any time, but certainly not in this cold weather! I hope it doesn’t get too slippery on that scaffolding…..

To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Yikes, have they done their risk assessments?!!
Precisely what I thought! 🙁
Bonkers when it is this cold.
My sentiments entirely
I’ve just returned from a walk and I saw the most amazing worker: high up in a slender tree (I’m guessing close to 10 metres), secured with ropes, cutting off thick branches (amost my own size) with a power saw. I was so in awe. I asked his colleague on the ground if I could take pictures and he said (rightly so) that he wasn’t the one I should ask, adding that I couldn’t ask the guy up the tree at the moment as he was “not in an easy place at the moment”. So I stayed and watched and put my itchy fingers in my pockets.
Well, this chap was maybe 5 metres up with a power saw…..aargh! https://suejudd.com/2020/12/15/countdown-to-2021-13/
Some jobs in the winter just don’t bear thinking about!
Agreed!
Our once-upon-a-time neighbour once got a roofer in who thought safety equipment was for the girls. Then he fell off said roof, and is now paralysed for life. It doesn’t bear thinking about.
Absolutely, a lovely chap who used to do work for us at the house had a similar accident…it’s not uncommon
It might be a ‘no work-no pay’ situation, but it is still too risky in these conditions.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yep
Heart in mouth image, Sue. 😳
