Lens-Artist’s Photo Challenge #131: Emotions

Patti has asked us to share images showing emotions

Firstly, I shall go for exhilaration – these lads were having a wonderful time by the beach:

Kids at play near the sea

Next, contentedness- these little girls were happy in each other’s company, enjoying playing in the long grass

Connecting in play

Happiness – making music is a wonderful thing

  1. Good choices for a tricky challenge, Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. A nice selection. I’m always shy of taking people-shots, but your first one – which is so effective – shows it can be done without shame.

  3. Excellent, your pictures capture ‘full of life’.

  4. Excellent job Sue – loved that opening image. Who’d have thought an image where the subject is blurred could be so telling and evocative! I found this challenge truly challenging 😊 and am happy to see the number of creative and interesting responses, including yours. Well done!

  5. Excellent, Sue! I had big difficulties with this one and had to resort to family and students. Love the blur making everything come more alive!

  6. Heavens, you’re kwik off the mark, Sue! Love that first one especially 🙂 🙂

  7. Love the first one with the motion!

What a lovely trio for the challenge Sue ! I think you’ve summed up the emotions visually so well in these images 🙂
I think we’re all longing for such freedom and happiness again … once …

  9. The children’s joy and exuberance are priceless! Great captures, Sue.

  10. Lovely story-telling images Sue!

  11. Excellent selections. Very well done.

  12. I loved the one of the two girls in the grass. It is timeless and could be anywhere in the world. Thanks. I felt I was there.

  13. All three are just wonderful — I can identify with kids at play by the sea since we’ve been taking our granddaughter to the beach for 11 years. Her exuberance rivals the views of the ocean. But your last one is also a delight! Thanks for sharing all.

  14. What a lovely post, Sue ! You captured the emotions so well . Challenge accomplished!
