I’m rather bereft of images for this….I have no images of snowballs rolling down a slope, balls being rolled, no bread rolls…what to do

Then I thought, what about this man in his role of ticket collecter on the historic Bluebell Railway, a heritage line staffed by volunteers:

  1. Nice ‘salvage’ of the challenge, Sue. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Yes, a perfect chance to show off this rather nice photo.

  3. ooh such a long time since I rolled on this railway

  4. maristravels

Great interpretation of the word, Sue. Congrats.

  5. Good thinking, Sue! And I love this image 🙂 🙂

  6. That works and looks like something fun to do.

  7. This is a great shot. I remember going on the Bluebell line with two of my grandchildren, must be 16 years ago as the baby turned 16 last April. Time flies.

  8. Amy

Very cool take on, Sue. Nice capture!

  9. I so adore your lighting in this photo. I need to study your photography more in depth and figure out how you see it so easily 😀

    • Sue

Thanks, Cee! Now, it has taken me a few years to tune in to how to make the most of the light at any given time, and it’s also about “what mood do you want to create?” I have always used manual settings on the camera, which gives me a much better ability to respond to what I have in front of me, for example exposing for the highlights in this image by spotmetering

  10. OK, I’ll buy that Sue! Kudos for creativity 😊

  11. Nicely done Sue; it’s a great shot.

  12. Nice take, Sue!
And I love how you painted pictures for us in the beginning anyways ….
