Far Horizons

It has been a glorious day (as my late mother would have said), weather wise today. I really would have liked to have gone out, but for fairly motionless me, it was far too cold. Besides, I had deliveries to wait for…

Anyway, I did take a Dutch Master inspired image of my now considerably decayed floral bouquet, and a couple in a different light – to be shown in later posts.

But in the kitchen, a different scene beckoned…possibly for the first time since I moved here (5 and a bit years ago), the light on the distant hill has really picked out the detail. And a bonus was a cloud behind the hill, which almost looke like a more distant hill….well, to my eyes, anyway!

  1. you have sunshine – you lucky thing

  2. You are right, the distant cloud could easily be taken for a second hill. I hope you can cope with the weather, Sue. Keep warm and stay safe.

Keeping warm isn’t a problem at the moment, and staying safe means locking myself away for the second time…thank goodness for FaceTime and Zoom,

  3. It was bright and sunny here also, with a cold wind. After more heavy rain last night, a dry day was welcome.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  4. We have no blue sky. Yours is absolutely lovely though 😀
If you weather is like ours … blue sky in winter usually means it is cold. 😀

  5. Blue skies certainly boost the mood. I wish we had more over the winter months, but I will take every one we are offered.
