Today, we visit Transylvania, and watch a stork up in the air, and I panned this shot to keep the bird sharp but with the landscape a little blurry to create a sense of motion. Not my best attempt, but it’s what I’ve got!,

Linked to January squares at Becky’s here
oh I love this, motion perfectly caught
Thank you, Becky! Thought you might like it!
me again, love this so much almost looks 3D
Thanks, Becky….14 years ago in Romania
it is probably still flying around there
Perhaps…
Wow! I love this shot.
Thanks, Margaret! I was so delighted to see a good number of storks out in the fields in deepest, rural Transylvania
I’ll bet. Wonderful.
It was….and I’m so pleased to have images that remind me of moments in the past, quite vividly at times….I remember taking a number of images to get the panning approaching somewhere decent
Ooh, clever stuff!
Thanks, Margaret!
Lovely photograh, don’t know what you’re worried about. It seems perfect to me.
Thank you, Mari!
Hello my lovely, how are you? I wouldn’t mind some of that sleek bird elegance
Gilly! Long time no see! Let’s do a FaceTime sometime soon!
I think that’s a wonderful photo, Sue, and very difficult to get right. Well done!
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete!
Looks pretty authentic to me 🙂 🙂
Cheers, Jo!
Oh Sue, I so adore this photo. Great timing (and luck). 😀
Timing was the key
It was perfection 😀
Thanks!
I think it’s wonderful, Sue!
Thanks, Lynn!
Wonderful image. I assume the stork has already dropped off the baby!
Haha! Probably a male stork? But I did have the privilege to see a stork nest on a different occasion with the babies in https://suejudd.com/2020/04/13/top-nest-topsquares-13/
I loved that shot. We used to live across the river from a huge heron rookery and I did get to see those babies.
Oh, that would have been interesting
Birders came just to watch. I guess it was unusual.
OK
Bird in motion. Something I’ve never achieved, not for want of trying. You have
Oh, I’ve had plenty of misses, and not-so-goods!!
Never easy Sue – but your bird is tack sharp! Good job.
Thanks, Tina in those days as lugged around a heavy camera and lens weighing 4lb round my neck, I don’t know how people manage with really heavy gear!
Marvellous image!
Thanks, Anabel, I was pleased with it!
I like what you got Sue 🙂
Thanks, Brian!
Well done, Sue. Almost impossible to get perfection – it’s about the feeling that you have caught rather than every feather in perfect focus. I love it
Pleased you like it, Debbie…I was enchanted by seeing so many of these birds in the fields, and I’ve shown a flock of them overhead in the past
Perfect clear shot, Sue!
Thanks, Teresa!
Love this!
Thanks!
Wow! Great capture Sue!
Many thanks, Madhu!
Perfect capture!
Thank you!
Oh, it’s brilliant!
Thanks, Manja!
