The remains of a small part of a bouquet of flowers…a metaphor for how I feel right now…a bit forlorn and frayed at the edges. I learnt 2 days ago that a good friend is in hospital with Covid. I am praying that she will pull through OK, and I feel useless in that there is nothing that I can do.

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend Sue; no wonder you’re feeling a bit frayed. I hope she will be ok.
Thank you, Su
Prayers for your friend
Many thanks, Yvette
Sorry to read about your friend. I pray she recovers fully and soon. And praying isn’t useless! 🙂

Thank you, Janet
Sorry you feel like those dejected flowers. I lost my best friend a few weeks ago to cancer and another friend earlier on to Covid so I can sympathise.
Oh, sad to hear that, Mari
It is deeply troubling when the illness comes so close. I hope she recovers.
Thanks, Elizabeth. It certainly is troubling
Oh, sweetheart! From what you said she was in good health before this? Hopefully she’ll be fine. Sending hugs, Sue- so sorry they can only be virtual 😦 😦
Thanks, Jo, and virtual is fine
Praying for your friend…
Many thanks, Amy
Sorry to hear this Sue. Hope she makes a good recovery.
Thanks, Jude
Virtual hugs, Sue, and all positive thoughts for your friend. Yes, those flowers are a very apt metaphor at the moment.
Thank you, Margaret
So sorry to hear that, I just wrote into today’s post that I know no one who has been sick with COVID, do take care and I hope your friend will recover soon
Yes, is sad
I think we all share your feelings at the moment. Hope seems to have been snatched away, or at least pushed further into the future. I hope your friend recovers.
Thanks, Anabel
Sending hugs, have you heard any more from her?
Yes, she’s home and got a ton of meds. So, some good news
Fantastic she’s home, and a drug cocktail sounds perfect for this Christmas!!
Hmm!
