extraordinary lives to us, but quite ordinary I guess for them at the time

As was Portugal.

It is amazing…… not sure that I will get there now. The list is long, time gets shorter and on top of that we have the CV19 restrictions. Nice to share memories 🙂

What an amazing picture! You had me at cave dwellings. I wonder how was the experience exploring it since you said it was an abandoned site. Fascinating, indeed.
Matera as a town is still going strong, but most of the cave dwellings are inaccessible. However, a few have been converted as hotels!
