Countdown to 2021

Today I am starting a series of posts entitled ‘Countdown to 2021’ as a way of keeping my photographic muscles going! I exchanged comments with Ritva Sillanmaki of Ritva Sillanmäki Photography here, and we decided on that title. Ritva says in her post “I will be posting new and old photos somehow related to winter, Christmas and eventually anticipation of new year. My aim is to take one new photo a day, but not going to stress over it, if I don’t come up with anything.” and I shall do much the same.

I was out with my friend Mo today, and this is an early afternoon scene from this glorious cool, sunny December day, the first day of winter:

  1. Sounds like a good project, Sue.And you got off to a nice start.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Nice idea. I think we’re all looking forward to 2022, and hoping for an improvement on 2020, so it’s good to have a countdown.

  3. And another one (and a bit) – great idea to keep those fingers flexible!

  4. Great idea and I love your photo – I can almost feel that wintery air.

  5. What a beautiful area to walk in, in brigs to mind some BBC series set in “old time” villages

  6. And very pleasant it looks, Sue, if a tad chilly. Good idea 🙂 🙂

  7. Yay you have come up with a project, and what a wonderful one you and Rita have elected on

  8. I like the idea. I am still thinking it is March. I think my mind froze over when covid started.

  9. I love the mood of the dog walker and the morning glow – and all that space gives that quiet and beautiful day feel
