This week, Jude says “Make sure you have contrasts in your image(s). Clear whites and strong blacks will add impact and create attention.”

  1. Oh these are remarkable photos for Jude’s challenge 😀

  2. I recognise the second two and love them with their strong contrasts. The first photo is also lovely, maybe not so contrasting, but a strong composition and great textures. Thanks for joining me Sue. I think your black and white photos are some of your best.

  3. I’m too lazy to hunt out good images. I like the first one best, though it’s perhaps not the best example. I like storytelling images and you have lots, Sue 🙂 🙂

  4. love your monochrome Sue- so atmospheric!

  5. Monochrome master you…♥

  6. Your arch and tunnel photos are definitive examples of the challenge, Sue. None better.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  7. Iconic. Perfect photographs.

  8. The light and strong shadows make the second 2 photos really pop

  9. These are perfect picture postcards!

  10. Maybe because I grew up watching black and white movies and television, I find it very easy to create narratives when I see black and white photos. Each of these gave me good opportunity to imagine a story.

  11. wonderful, specially the last two for the challenge

  12. These are lovely, I really like this Sue!
