To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Beautiful. Our trees are looking that like too! đ
I think I have noticed the season much more this year!
Lovely colours in that shot, Sue. Rich detail too.
Best wishes, Pete.
It was a beautiful morning!
We’re not doing too badly here on the Isle of Wight, the leaves are still looking lovely on many of our trees. I meant to take a picture of one tree in the hotel opposite me which is glorious in summer but is just a bare stick in winter but I forgot to do it in time. However, I did it the other day when it has just started to shed its leaves and I’ll take one when they have all fallen, and I’ll post the two together. The change never fails to amaze me.
Iâve missed a couple of lovely trees in colourful leaf because I thought âIâll be back laterâ…too late!
Aw, shame! This is a lovely shot though, Sue đ đ
Well, itâll get new leaves next year!
True enough. That’s like saying we’ll get our lives back next year. It still feels a long way off đŚ
No, I donât think the two are the same, Jo
Hooray for those last brave red leaves. Great capture.
Thanks, much appreciated!
Beautiful
Thanks!
A really striking image, Sue. Love the colours together. đ
Many thanks, Sylvia! The bright colours certainly appealed
I always seem to attribute personalities to those last leaves, as if they just weren’t ready to give in. I love the image.
Pleased you enjoyed it, Elizabeth!
is this the one you also did in B&W, can’t decide which i prefer!
I thought they were flags before I opened to the full image. A last hurrah indeed!
Yes! How are you getting on with your twos?
Trying to cull – mainly archival, although Iâm tempted. But twos on the beach have been young men (now why would an old woman be photographing them??) or old men I donât like (why would I photograph a rude local councillor?) I was very tempted by a lad riding a bike on the beach, dog running beside, but I was too far away.
Teehee!
