Apparently the big home improvement stores / hardware stores in Germany all report increased sales since March. People are stuck at home and start bigger (and smaller) projects around the house. 🙂

It’s like that around here too. I live on what used to be a street of bungalows, but many of them are growing taller.

My next door neighbour is currently having a large extension built on the back. Fortunately, it is a bunglaow, so
the building is no higher than the fence.

I was going to say money to burn in the Home Counties, but a lot of those houses are quite old and probably need a lot of maintenance! And extensions to house the kids who can’t afford to leave home any more… 😂

what is it with the constant extending and rebuilding – first thing people do when they move in on our road is enlarge the houses, and they are already a good size. Too much of keeping up with the Joneses me thinnks
