Last saw these painted stones in May, and Mo and I didn’t see them at first, then I spotted their new site.

Painted stones seem to be a bit of a Thing just now, don’t they?
They do
This rather nice trend seems to have faded away in our part of the world. Lockdown killed it, then there was a small revival as life opened up a little……. but not seen any for some time now. Shame it was fun for kids…geocaching of a sort made easy
Fun for kids, indeed
I am no kid, but I still find the stones fun.
Good!
Yes, this was quite a trend for first lockdown. I haven’t seen any around here for ages.
What did the explanatory sign say, Sue?
I wasn’t close enough to see
Shame. It looks a bit like a gravestone to me.
No, no, it was something to do with the kids had been painting stones, and please don’t take them away
I thought the point of these painted stones WAS to take them away, and when you find one you take it somewhere new?
Oh, don’t ask me!
OK. I won’t 😂
😄
hm, new to me, never saw it in my part of the world.
Yes, I don’t imagine you see them everywher
I find these in the Preserve, but only one at a time.
janet
There were a lot of those around here too, but they have all disappeared now.
Best wishes, Pete.
😊
One at a time, or was it a joint decision, Sue? 🙂 🙂
😄😄😄😀😂
I like the idea of stones traveling to new spots. They are just as tired of lockdown as the rest of us.
Indeed!
