To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
🙂 this is something really cool!
Many thanks, Paula! A dizzying height!
Especially with all that safety gear……..
Well, it was 1980s
Dizzying, indeed! Is he wearing anything to attach him to the scaffolding?
Nope, that was mid 1980s
Yikes!
And some!
We can stick together than at ground level, or looking out from another building!
I was looking from the Duomo, I think
I’ll have to see if I can find my similar photo from la Sagrada Familia. Eeeew.
Eeew, indeed
Definitely a different view of the red rooftops. Italy?
Firenze, Toscana!
Oh my god! The Health & Safety brigade would have a fit! Bare feet, no hard hat. Have to wonder about his foolhardiness.
Those are the least of the issues….nosafetyharness….it was a hundred foot drop! I wouLd say
I’m just imagining him dropping a hammer on his toes! I wasn’t even looking at that drop 🛠️😱
😱😱
Very macho! He wouldn’t look quite so cool lying in a crumpled heap on the street below. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
Absolutely
No kidding, Mr Cool and what a view
Quite so, Cee!!
More like Mr Fool!
😄😄😄
Height of that building aside, health and safety barely exists here, Sue. It’s not macho- it’s just how it is! Employers are reluctant to pay health insurance too. Good photo though! I hope he’s still safe 🙂 🙂
Well, that image was from what I now realise was 1981! Nearly 40 years ago……
Heavens! 🙂 🙂 Unfortunately present day health and safety in the Portuguese building trade is almost unknown.
That is frightening
