Delighting in Our World
Imposing! Which one? 🙂 🙂 You just caught a jacket in the gateway!
Did I? There is a person visible, I can see a face
Looks like the back of a jacket to me. Perhaps I need specs 🙂 🙂 Where? And have a nice day!
It’s a folly….on the site of Reigate castl, which did exist, until the English Civil war I believe
Thanks m’dear! I’m happy now 🥰
Good!
I love castles. Is that a ‘real’ one, or a ‘folly’?
Best wishes, Pete.
It’s a folly!
I thought it might be, as the arrow-slits are too low. 🙂
Well noticed, Pete!
Through the archway and into …. where? It’s tempting.
Just into the ‘castle’ grounds….
Very similar to a gateway to Blaise Castle Estate in Bristol, another folly (as one can tell from the fake arrow slit windows).
Ah, OK
Folly or Castle, it is still imposing. Nicely framed.
Many thanks, Jude!
What a commanding entrance.
A spoof, it’s a folly, not a real castle!
