My friend Mo and I had a wander around some roads we haven’t been on for a month or so, and autumn colour is noticeable. Leaves turning, leaves dropping:
This was the same view in the summer

To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
I don’t think we’re quite there yet. The air is autumnal – the leaves not so much.
Ah, the North South divide!
I only have to look at the leaves and acorns all over our back garden to know that Autumn is undoubtedly here.
Best wishes, Pete.
And know that there is a lot of clearing up to do!
Using the lawn-mower to shift the leaves works well. It chops them up into tiny pieces, and is easy to empty into the garden waste wheelie bin. No more raking! 🙂
Good thinking, Batman!
I love the colours of autumn 🙂 🙂
Good!
Cooler evenings make me realise that autumn is approaching but the warm days (some actually hot) and gardens still full of flowers deny it. One of my roses is coming out for a third flowering and two new azaleas I bought this year have produced blossoms.
Marvellous to hear!
the colors of autumn is truly a delight! 🙂
I do agree, Lola!
Well we knew it was coming… obvious in some places whilst others are still summer green. Though I don’t think I am mistaken that the autumnal signs do seem to be a little earlier this year 😀
Oh, indubitably
Autumn is almost here – lovely pictures!
Many thanks, Meg!
Yesterday the house was still cool from the night before and then cooler inside than outside in the afternoon. Only in early autumn!
Only in early autumn, indeed!
Beautiful light, Sue. I love how you frame these two images.
Many thanks, Amy! Pleased you like them
