To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
Way to scary for me!
Well, with my balance it wouldn’t be my idea of fun!
Best way to end up with a toothless head!
Or burr holes needed after a cranial injury?
Indeed. And of course I mean ‘too’, not ‘to’. Typo alert!
Oh, typo or blinking predictive text
From the title I though I was going to see you on the board, Sue 🙂
A great fun shot, though, even without your appearance
Last time I was on a skateboard was ovaesr 30 years ago….and very sedately
ah to have the energy!
Exactly, I had zero yesterday and very little today
oh no that’s not good. The heat i guess? Hope you have got to Wisley xx
Yep, heat….but I got to Wisley and had a lovely afternoon
Oh that’s excellent news. Debbie and I were wondering if you had ☺️
I think you and I should take a trip, but it is expensive if you’re not a member, and I’m not
I’m a member 😎
Oooh
I’d do it. Not afraid for my head. I’d just add another item on the list of knee injuries (been there, done that – had to promise Mr Eklastic NOT to go on roller skates again). *big theatrical sigh*
Oh dear!
It seems those ‘stunt scooters’ have become more popular than skateboards now. I see kids over Beetley Meadows on them, but they have to travel into Dereham to try them out in the small skate park there.
Best wishes, Pete.
Dangerous, I always think
The ambulance station where I worked in North Kensington was a few hundred yards away from the skatepark under the Westway flyover. We used to get a lot of broken wrists and ankles jobs from there every weekend, as well as some serious head injuries from skaters not wearing helmets.
Why am I not surprised
My grandson Lorenzo (6) broke his arm from falling off his scooter earlier this year and he wasn’t doing stunts! My eldest grandson (18) broke his wrist (again) during lockdown but he was doing stunts on his skateboard. Dangerous ‘toys’ indeed!
Well, I must say I agree., Jude…and they’ll be allowed on roads.😳☹️
I thought that referred to electric scooters? Must say that I wouldn’t feel safe on the road on one and it annoys me that people can even ride bikes on a road without passing a cycling proficiency test these days, you’d think that any road user should have to know the highway code at least! The most dangerous cyclists on the roads are those hobbyists who peddle so slowly that cars take risks overtaking them. A nightmare here with blind bends!
Yes. Electric ones! As to the Highway Code, don’t get me started
Or even scooter fun!
I know, I’ll correct the title!!
heehee…
😄🤪
I cringe even looking at them jumping, fearing the fall and worse.
Yep
Looks like they are having fun!
I think so!
No fear! 😅
😊😊😢
