A ghostly presence?? More fun with camera settings, this time slow shutter speed….I managed to get both legs visible, doesn’t often work that way….

Oooh, a ghost ….
Perhaps!!
Quite mystical
Thanks, Pauline!
Really good, Sue. And it shows how easy it is for those ‘paranormal investigators’ to fake photos.
Best wishes, Pete.
Oh, indeed! The camera never lies, eh?
It is pretty ghostly out there!
Teehee!
Whenever I try a slow shutter speed it is just too dark. Do you alter other settings as well? This is one thing I haven’t managed to grasp.
As you know, I always use manual settings…
You need to keep in mind the relationship between ISO, shutter speed and aperture….I’ll hunt out an easy tutorial. But just to say if you use a slow shutter speed, you’re letting more light in, so you should find it too light, unless you use a small aperture…..I tend to use something like 200 ASA, 0.15 seconds, f22
OK thanks for that. I shall persevere!
First try with your usual aperture, and play with the other two settings…wider aperture means you need a faster shutter speed, narrow aperture, slow shutter speed. Crank one up by one stop, and the other down by one stop…..eg 125 on f9, 160 on f8
very clever 🙂
Thanks, Becky!
Neat trick! 🙂 🙂
Thanks Jo!
