After Becky’s beach yesterday, I had to show an off-season beach from a couple of decades ago….those groynes have long since disappeared. And I might add, the perspective is not enhanced by the square format!
A tad desolate, don’t you think?:

I don’t know, could be a great cushion cover!
Naaah!
lol!
😄😄
I think my comment about this has gone AWOL – I did it on my phone – never a good plan. Anyway, I said I loved a desolate beach. Highly superior to a crowded one!
Completely agree, Margaret!
I love to walk on deserted beaches. Makes me feel as if I am the only person in the world.
Best wishes, Pete.
Yes!
Hurrah for the desolate bit.
I agree it doesn’t work brilliantly as a square crop – too many lines and nowhere to go with them. Of course if it had been shot as a square that might have been different. But I rarely think about a square composition unless I’m doing Becky’s challenge!
Exactly, neither do I!
Well it is in B&W – maybe in colour it would be more cheerful? Where’s this one then? South coast?
Seaton, Devon
Very nice down there.
Yes, Seaton, Sidmouth, Ladram is bay etch
There is a certain beauty in its desolate appearance.
Yes, I think so
Desolate, maybe, but I would enjoy walking along there.
I think you would have done….the groynes are long gone, so a different beach scape
