Just saw this photograph as I was collecting a few bits for my Sunday lunch…. the lamb had been seared at that stage, so is out of shot (I cheat, and use chump chops if there is only me, but I still get a flavourful meal)

What a feast! Bet it tasted as good as it looks.
Just finished it, and yes, it did!
You have to get your priorities right… I hope the wine is breathing 😊🍷
Decanted, yes 1 hr seems to be right for this 2005
Really decadent….decanter at the ready:-)
Yay! It was delicious
We also have lamb tonight, minted lamb shanks. (Pre-prepared, so a cheat)
No vintage Chateauneuf to accompany it though! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
I don’t think Chateauneuf would be happy with minted lamb!
You are right of course, but I would still give it a go! 🙂
😄😄
The vegetables look good. I am harvesting courgettes from the garden already.
The courgettes are organic – very nice
Lamb chops and red wine. Yum, yum, and yum! I’m looking forward to months from now when we can delight in red wine. In the summer heat, rosé and chilled whites work best, although I still enjoy a dark beer every so often. 🙂

Well, it wasn’t too hot here today
What are chump chops? Right now I have a zucchini, tomato and onion on my cutting board for a ziti casserole.
Chump chops are boneless taken from the rump of the lamb at the point where the top of the leg meets the loin. These chops are a good size and pretty lean
Thanks. I have never heard of that cut, but it sounds delicious.
It is!
This looks really good, Sue…ripe tomatoes and zucchini are still a ways off up here. Of course, wine is always available, but may be not Chateauneuf-du-Pape! 😉
I just saw the potential for a photograph as I was collecting my ingredients…and just enough light to create some small highlights!
