BeeThis week, Jude has stated:
This week's assignment - We are looking at the shallow depth of field again this week to get close up to your subject. Use either a macro lens OR the macro setting on your camera to get in as close as you can and still retain a sharp focus I have no such thing as a macro lens, and my manualdexterity is no longer up to using fiddly macro extension rings, so I have resorted to searching the archives for sharp subjects in the foreground with an out of focus background - shallow DOF:

Beautiful
Many thanks!
You are welcome
Well, your search was worthwhile as these are brilliant and just what’s needed I should think.
Many thanks, Maris! Glad you liked these
And very nice images you found too, Sue 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Jo!
What was the simple supper? 🙂 🙂
A Cook Chicken curry, some lentils and a load of Chard & kale…very tasty
And healthy 🙂 🙂
I eat healthy
Brownie points. 🙂 🙂 I could dangle a naughty Kitkat…
Don’t like them….
Mick wouldn’t let me anyway 🙂 🙂
They’re not yours to share!!
You’d better have one of my diggies then 🙂 🙂 With cheese, of course!
Nope, too much sugar
A tiny piece of cheese. And that’s my final offer 🙂 🙂
Cheese only will be lovely!
Off to the fridge right now 🙂 🙂
Yay!
Good examples indeed, Sue.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete!
Lovely shot, Sue, especially that last one. Happy midsummer.

Thanks! An oldie, but a favourite
Love the photos, especially the bee and the raindrops, but I also like the bokeh on the witch hazel. Your exchange with the restless one made me laugh!
Do you not use the extensions any more then?
Not for ages…but I just might have a go today,if I feel up to the task, and if I can find them!!
Wonderful macros Sue 🙂
Thanks, Brian….only they aren’t true macros….
It’s perspective of the viewer 😀
And the cropping!!
I love the dewdrops, Sue!
Yes, one of my all time favourites, Patti!
Love them all Sue. Isn’t it fun searching through archives for these gems
Fun, and nostalgic, don’t you think, Pauline?
I do
😊
oh these are gorgeous. What a lovely collection . . . . something is going weird though with the text at the start. Is that just my laptop?
No, I copied Jude’s text, and as I continued it formatted the rest like that- I should have gone into ‘text’ mode and changed it😳😳
Lovely. Particularly that bee.
Yes, he was the best image of a bee I’ve ever captured
A fine specimen!
Yes!
Beautiful series, Sue! The image of the droplets is my favorite.
I love that image….pleased you like it, Amy!
